Clement Morin uses Cinema 4D for animation and motiongraphics. I would highly recommend heading his Vimeo site and checking out some of the short animations.

On my way to Tri-C Wednesday, I heard a very interesting piece on NPR about the rise of the Game Design Industry.

We will be covering some aspects of “game” in the 3D Simulation class and I expect that we will have our 3D Game Design course rolled out (this summer/fall). The entertainment industry is the biggest employers of 3D Designers. I thought this was worth a listen.

Body Paint Workflow Demo (no sound)

The following is a little workflow in Body Paint/Cinema 4D. The advantage of Body Paint is that you can paint across multiple channels/layers at the same time and see updates to the textures on your model in real time. You can also paint directly on the 3D model and 2D UVs and work back and forth between the two.

Here is a time-lapse

Here is the long version. Click on full screen mode for a better view.

I will post a Cinema 4D/Body Paint/Photoshop workflow in the near future.
